Estimate review worksheet

Prepare these questions for Big Boys Moving & Storage using the listed scope: Local Moves, Long Distance, Packing, Labor Only, Commercial, Storage Moves, Apartment Moves. These are research prompts, not findings of a problem with this company.

Estimate basis: Ask which inventory, access conditions, and dates the price assumes. Record how added items, stairs, elevators, and a longer carry would change the total.
Delivery responsibility: For the proposed route, identify who transports the shipment and who handles delivery. Request the arrival range, any transfer or storage arrangements, and the contact responsible for changes.
Packing scope: Itemize rooms or fragile pieces to be packed, carton quantities, and who supplies materials. Have the estimate distinguish packing work from transport and identify any unpacking or debris removal charges.
Compare like-for-like: Keep the same inventory and access details when requesting another estimate. Mark each line as included, optional, excluded, or unanswered before comparing totals; a lower headline price alone cannot explain those differences.

Evidence boundary: the source ledger records available references. A review describes one customer's experience; a registration reference identifies a record to inspect. Neither establishes the price, availability, or crew for your proposed move. Save the dated estimate and the mover's replies alongside this file.
